Q: Some companies have already started micro-chipping their employees. What do you think about this in light of the mark of the beast?
Before we talk about microchips, let’s talk about the beast of Revelation and his mark. You can read about the beast in Revelation 13. The beast is Satan’s agent and instrument to make war against the people of King Jesus. He emerges out of the sea, which in the symbol-laden book of Revelation stands for the “realm of evil”. Anyone familiar with the OT book of Daniel will remember that the beasts there represent world-powers that had come against God’s people Israel. In this sense, the beast here probably represents every evil empire that has emerged in opposition to God and His people. This means that the “beast” has appeared and reappeared throughout history, but certain details in the text lead me to believe that we should expect a future, evil empire with a tyrannical leader at the helm. In the apostle John’s day, it was Rome, in the future, who knows.

Judas, God’s Sovereignty & Human Responsibility
Q: Judas raises so many questions for me: destiny, free will, Satan entering into him, suicide, repentance. Did Judas really have a choice? Are we predetermined to be saved? Satan entered him…again no choice? Did his suicide negate his repentance?- Laura

Did Lot really offer up his daughters to be gang raped by the mob in Sodom?
Before we dive into this question, I want to say that this episode of Ask Pastor Adam is rated “M” for mature. So, if you listen to this podcast in your car, you might want to make sure that your kids aren’t around. This is difficult subject matter. Did Lot really offer his daughters up to be gang raped?
“Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter ; and they called Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who come to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we might have relations with them.” But Lot went out to them at the doorway, and shut the door behind him, “Please my brothers, do not act wickedly. Now behold, I have two daughters who have not had relations with man; please let me bring them out to you, and do to them whatever you like (lit. As is good in your sight); only do nothing to these men, inasmuch as they have come under the shelter of my roof” (Gen. 19:4-8).

What does Jesus Say about Forgiveness in the Lord’s Prayer?
In the greatest sermon ever preached, Jesus stood up before the Pharisees, the crowd and His disciples and said this about forgiveness, “For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions” (Matt. 6:14-15). Is forgiveness conditional? What does it say about our hearts if we refuse to forgive?
